Beehives for sale at 936 Mountainside Dr. Farmington, Utah
Stand while you work with your bees, rather than crouch or bend way over while working with your standard deep 9 1/8 inch frame.
Beehives are already assembled!! (This is usually difficult and takes a lot of time if you buy and ship a precut beehive, which can warp and be hard to assemble. Our legs drilled but not attached for ease in transportation.)
The beehive has been stained with organic linseed oil, similar to what the forest service uses on their log cabins. (Just the stain is expensive, let a lone the time to stain and dry the beehive. If you put out an unstained beehive, it may only last 1/2 as long.)
The beehive has had the top enlarged enough to add a R5 foam insulation is covered by wood to protect it. (Most beehives don't have built in insulation.) The sides are made of thicker wood than most beehives to increase insulation.
It has hardware installed for top opening, rather than lifting it off and setting it aside. And also has a chain for holding it open while you are working with the bees.
It has a separate metal adjustable bee openings, which is great if you have any wasps in the area. One location we placed our hives we put out a wasp trap and caught over 50 wasps and the wasps tried but were not able to get inside the hives.
We have an adjustable latch that has kept out racoons in two of our hive locations.
We will spend a 1/2 hour with you explaining what general supplies you should buy and where to buy bees in Northern Utah.
This is one upfront investment that will help you better enjoy your back and bees for years to come.
